Each cottage will be inspected roughly every 2 weeks (16 visits), between mid September and May 1, at a cost of $33 plus membership.
A complete walk around each cottage to determine
security.
A physical check of each door to confirm that is
appropriately locked.
A visual check of each cottage and outbuilding
roof to assess snow load.
A visual check of each cottage to determine security.
At the completion of the inspection the tag is
punched.
If you have a snow problem you
will be contacted directly by the McPhees and advised
of the situation.
The Cottager is fully responsible for arranging
for snow removal.
If you have been broken into
or vandalized:
The Winter Patrol will contact the Saugeen Police
and the Cottage Owner. 
Primary repairs (e.g. broken windows) will be secured with plastic covering to reduce damage from the elements. Additional repairs (e.g.. boarded up with plywood) are the responsibility of the Cottager.
The FBBA Directors will requested that the McPhees
provide incident reports on cottages that were
vandalized, including the date of inspection, description
of
damage and action taken by the McPhees.
If you have received damage
as a result of an "Act
of God" such as damage resulting from wind,
storms, etc.:
You will be contacted (collect) by the McPhee's and advised of the damage.
Primary repairs (i.e. broken windows) will be secured

Additional repairs (i.e. boarded up with plywood)
are the responsibility of the Cottager.

It is extremely important that we have a current winter telephone number for all participants in the program to ensure that you can be contact in case of a break-in or weather related issue. Please contact any of the FBBA Directors if your number changes.
